Our wonderful Mardi Himal trekking starts from outskirts of scenic Pokhara heading towards North West to reach an isolated and remote corner of Annapurna at Mardi Himal base camp, our highest spot of the adventure at 4,500 m high offering spectacular panorama of mountain views.

After a grand time on the high hills and ridges of Mardi Himal areas, walking back on alternative and more scenic route visiting cultural Gurung village to reach back at scenic Pokhara where magnificent and mesmerizing Mardi Himal Trekking concludes.


Outline Itinerary

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu 1,350 m / 4,430 ft and transfer to Hotel.

Day 02: Full day in Kathmandu with half day sightseeing tour at places of interest.

Day 03: Drive to Pokhara 860 m on Nepal mid west highway – 06 hrs.

Day 04: Drive to Dhampus 1,540 m (trek point) with 3 hrs walk to Potana 1,900 m.

Day 05: Trek to Kokar Forest camp 2,520m via Deurali 2,100m – 04 hrs.

Day 06: Trek to Forest camp to Low Camp 2,970 m – 04 hrs.

Day 07: Trek to High camp 3, 700 m – 05 hrs.

Day 08: Free day to explore beyond High Camp to Mardi West Base Camp 4,500m.

Detail Itinerary

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu 1,350 m / 4,430 ft and transfer to Hotel.

On arrival at Kathmandu international airport via respective airlines, where you will be received by our office staff and guide with a warm welcome greeting and then transfer to your hotels in the hub of the city.

After checking into your rooms and getting refreshed join the other groups for the briefing on  Mardi Himal Trekking, our guide offers you with useful important information regarding trek and your stay in Nepal with us.

The evening includes welcome dinner in a nice and authentic Nepalese restaurant with Folk Culture program of Nepal while having your dinner.

Day 02: Full day in Kathmandu with half day sightseeing tour at places of interest.

Morning, depart from the hotel for exciting tour around Kathmandu at places of great interest,  Kathmandu city and its valley steeped with historical and religious monuments temples and monasteries listed as World Heritage Sites.

After an interesting tour afternoon free to relax and preparation for Mardi Himal Trek next early morning overland drive to Pokhara.

Day 03: Drive to Pokhara 860 m on Nepal mid west highway - 06 hrs.

Morning depart from your hotel for interesting drive towards Nepal Mid West with exciting views past farm villages and towns on Nepal's main highway to reach Pokhara city.

On reaching at Pokhara after six hours of the interesting ride, transfer to hotels by the Phewa lakeside with time to stroll around where most of the hotels-restaurant-stores and shops located.

Pokhara a touristic and scenic spot blessed with natural scenery of mountains-green hills-valley with serene and calm lakes of Phewa and Begnas.

(Flying options to Pokhara of 30 minutes scenic flights)

Day 04: Drive to Dhampus 1,540 m (trek point) with 3 hrs walk to Potana 1,900 m.

Moringa short drive takes you further west to reach Dhampus Phedi, and then ride continues on winding uphill to reach a high ridge at Dhampus village with stunning panorama of Dhaulagiri-Annapurna-Manaslu with majestic Machhapuchare Himal 'Fish Tail'.

On reaching Dhampus with the sweeping panorama of mountains the first-day walk follows a ridge line heading North West on gradual uphill for few hours, walking past farm villages and terraced fields on the stone paved steps to reach at Potana for fist overnight stop with views of Annapurna Himalaya.

Day 05: Trek to Kokar Forest camp 2,520m via Deurali 2,100m - 04 hrs.

After a wonderful stop in Potana village catching views of Annapurna peaks, morning walk leads on main trekking trail for few hours to reach Deurali a hilltop, offering views of snow-clad peaks.

From Deurali leaving the main trail as our route heads north along a ridgeline into serene forested area with cool temperature and panorama of Annapurna I, Annapurna South, Huinchuli, with Annapurna IV-II and Lamjung Himal as walk leads on isolated areas then reaching at Kokar Forest Camp for overnight stop in the midst of forest surrounding in the comfort of nice and simple local lodge.

Day 06: Trek to Forest camp to Low Camp 2,970 m - 04 hrs.

From here, morning walk leads higher with the climb to reach a summer pasture area for the overnight stop on a scenic spot named as Low Camp, with houses serving as lodges on route Mardi base camp, offers fabulous views of green landscapes and mountains.

Day 07: Trek to High camp 3, 700 m - 05 hrs.

This wonderful area offering the grand vista of beautiful landscapes and snow-clad peaks in perfect tranquility heading higher to reach at High Camp as the air gets thinner and cooler with a steep climb to reach High Camp where tree lines fade to short rhododendron and juniper bushes.

Here at High Camp with a lonely lodge for overnight accommodation with basic facilities commanding superb views of Annapurna Himalaya.

Day 08: Free day to explore beyond High Camp to Mardi West Base Camp 4,500m.

A free day at High Camp for the local excursion beyond High Camp to Mardi Himal as walk leads on the much high ridge to reach our highest point of the adventure at above 4,500 meters high.

The walk leads to a steep climb along a ridgeline to reach a hidden plateau at the base of Mardi Himal South Face with towering Mt. Machhapuchare; this area known as 'Other Sanctuary' named by early pioneer Jimmy Roberts, when he first explored this area in early 1970's. After enjoying the views of super mountain panorama return back on the same route to our overnight stop.

Day 09: Trek to Forest Camp -06 hrs.

After a fabulous time on high ridges of Mardi Himal with scenic views where morning walk leads and back to forested areas, retracing the journey on the same trail to reach at Forest Camp for the overnight stop on the downhill walk.

Day 10: Trek to Landruk village 1,460 m - 04 hrs and drive to Pokhara - 04 hrs

Morning catching superb views of peaks, our last day walk leads downhill into forested areas following a newly built trails leading at lower areas at Landruk, a moderate size Gurung village where an exciting drive takes you back to picturesque Pokhara for last overnight by serene and calm Phewa Lake on completing our fantastic short and moderate walks on Mardi Himal trekking.

Day 11: Drive / Fly to Kathmandu - 06 hrs journey (30 mins via air)

From Pokhara overland drive leads on the same route back to Kathmandu with amazing and wonderful time on Mardi Himal Trekking, on reaching Kathmandu transfer to your respective hotels with free afternoon for individual activities.

Day 12: Final International departure from Nepal.

Your last day in Nepal, country of Himalayan wonders and as per your international flight time depart for homeward bound or to next respective connecting destinations.

Our staff and guide transfer you to Kathmandu airport after a mesmerizing memory and great time on Mardi Himal Trekking.

  • Your Nepal Visa fees (should bring small accurate fees in USD and 02 passport size photos)

  • Personal travel and health insurance as well as insurance for helicopter evacuation
  • In case of extra nights’ accommodation, lunch and dinner in city due to early arrival and late departure as well as early back/return from mountain/trekking (due to any reason) than the given time period of itinerary. We can help you arrange extra nights accommodation.

“Everest Base Camp Trek & Jungle Safari in Chitwan” We researched many companies to book our EBC trek and after exchanged e-mails with Dipak he helped plan our EBC trek, tour in Kathmandu and Jungle Safari in Chitwan in a professional, helpful and organized manner. On arrival in Kathmandu, we were greeted at the airport with a friendly, warm welcome from Dipak and he helped settle us in at our hotel and took us out for a traditional Nepalese meal as well as organizing a day tour with guide of Kathmandu. Dipak's organization of our EBC trek was wonderful and the guide he supplied on the trek was informative, friendly and very organized in looking after us, making sure we had enough food, tea, and a decent bed for the night after a long day walking. The trek was beautiful and we had an amazing experience. We went back to Kathmandu after the trek was finished and Dipak greeted us and hear about our adventure and keep us informed about our next part of the trip - Jungle Safari in Chitwan. We stayed in Chitwan National Park for 4 nights 3 days and stayed at a lovely lodge by the river just outside the town. We went on Elephant safari, Jungle walks, bird watching, canoeing, traditional evening performance and much needed relaxing after our EBC trek. We had lovely accommodation and by the river and very helpful staff who looked after our every need. It was our first visit to Nepal and Dipak made our trip hassle free, organized and all with a warm welcome which meant we could enjoy our trek to the fullest. There are no words that can adequately describe the experience we had on the Everest View Trek (Lukla, Namche, Tengboche, the Dudh Kosi River and all the places in between). The word "Awesome" falls considerably short in describing our experience. My wife and I were recently married and from our first date, we both had always wanted to trek in the Himalayas.
