Trekking is done in cold, high, and remote areas. So we need different clothing and equipment for trekking. Most of the things needed for trekking are available in Kathmandu and Pokhara.
Clothing for Trekking
Trekking or good walking shoes make your walk easier and more comfortable.
A track suit and a pair of lightweight shoes or sandals to wear in tea houses and camp at night.
Two pairs of woolen and cotton socks for trekking.
warm down jacket and a rainproof jacket with a hood for protection from rain.
woolen hat for the cold and a sun hat for sunny days.
A pair of woolen gloves
Two cotton T-shirts and two pairs of fitted long shorts or skirts
Woolen shirts and thick sweaters as well as wind and water-proof trousers
One light or heavy weight pair of trousers and one light weight long sleeve shirt

Trekking equipment and clothing are available in Kathmandu and Pokhara. Holiday Tours Nepal can recommend shops with reasonable prices. If you do not want to buy it, you can easily rent what you need at reasonable prices.

Spare eyeglasses or contact lenses (Due to the ease of getting eye infections, care should be taken when using contacts. Disposable contact lenses replaced frequently can lessen the risk of eye inflections.
Hard shell water bottle; one 2-liter or two 1-liter bottles ("Nalgene" or Manmade Metal) that will not melt while adding hot boiled water.
