Trip Itinerary

Day

1

On arrival at Kathmandu international airport via respective airlines, where you will be received by our office staff and guide with warm welcome greeting and then transfer to your hotels in the hub of the city.

After checking into your rooms and getting refreshed join the briefing on Annapurna Circuit & Thorang-la Trekking, our guide offers you with useful important information regarding trek and your stay in Nepal with us.

Evening includes welcome dinner in a nice and authentic Nepalese restaurant with Folk Culture program of Nepal while having your dinner.

2

Morning, depart from the hotel for exciting tour around Kathmandu at places of great interest,  Kathmandu city and its valley steeped with historical and religious monuments temples and monasteries listed as World Heritage Sites.

After an interesting tour afternoon free to relax and preparation for Annapurna Circuit Trekking next early morning overland drive to Syange.

Morning an interesting and scenic long driving journey on Nepal mid west highway, journey leads to Beshishar town then on the dirt road to Khudi, Bhulbhule and Ngadi following the Marsyangdi River upstream, drive continues through rice terraces fields and villages to Syange for overnight stop.

Our first day walk starts with uphill climb on leaving Marsyangdi River behind to reach at Jagat village, a farm village with many lodges for trekkers.

From Jagat village walk continues on winding path to Chamje, and back at Marsyangdi River to cross eastern bank into forested area, with views of Annapurna and Manaslu mountain ranges, as our walk advances on a wide path to Tal Besi.

Here for refreshment or lunch break, and then few hours walk leads to Dharapani village for overnight stop, Dharapani a nice village situated on the junction of Annapurna circuit and Manaslu trekking trail.

5

After Dharapani walk on wide winding trail with rhododendron and pine forest past Bagachap and Danque village, and then uphill to Timang village, from here onwards entering more Buddhist cultural villages offering views of Mt. Manaslu.

From Timang village few hours trek to Koto and then to reach at Chame town for overnight stop, Chame a large and headquarter town of Manang district.

From here onwards air gets cooler and fresher as walk leads close towards mountains, morning walk through alpine forest of rhododendron and pine trees, following Marshyangdi River upstream with few short ups and down hills to Bhratang village.

From Bhratang village walk follows uphill into cooler woodland to reach a ride top small village of Dhukure Pokhari with few teahouses and lodge.

Overlooking views of Chulu’s and Pisang peaks, a possible lunch break here, and then afternoon walk descends to reach at lower Pisang village for overnight stop.

Pisang village offers great views of mountains and surrounding landscapes, from here altitude gains slowly as walk leads into a small forested areas with a short uphill offering views of staggering Annapurna II and III, Gangapurna Chulu’s and Pisang peak.

From the ridge top entering a flat valley at Hongde village, from here onward tree lines disappear for barren, arid landscapes with cold, dry arctic climate.

Before Manang, visit old Braga monastery with old Buddhist relics, ancient wall painting and frescos and stunning views of Annapurna Himalaya, from here an hour walk reaches at Manang village.

The houses built with traditional Tibetan style, Manang people are known for their rich cultural and traditions.

A necessary rest day for acclimatization before heading higher altitude towards Thorang - la pass, at Manang taking short walks and explore Manang village and its beautiful valley,  Manang the main and a large village of the areas placed on windswept valley by the bank of Marsyangdi River beneath towering Annapurna II-III and Gangapurna mountain range, a nice walk uphill for views of Gangapurna Glacier and the Manang emerald Lake.

After a good rest and time at Manang, morning walk leads towards Ghunsang village on the uphill path to Yak Kharka, an interesting high altitude trekking with super views of snowcapped mountains, then crossing a small stream river to reach Yak Kharka, a small settlement with tremendous views of Gangapurna, Annapurna III and Chulu Peaks.

As the walk advances to high area, heading closer to the base of Thorang-la as the walk leads to cross a bridge and then a climb along the river bank of Jarjung, as the walk leads at Thorang Phedi, here depending upon the physical conditions of the clients, if all goes well an hour steep climb to Thorang High Camp for overnight stop.

Our hardest and a Big Day! Of the adventure on having early breakfast walking with long steep climb to reach on top Thorang-la at 5,416 m.

Marked with Buddhist color prayer flags and sign board with the name and altitude of Thorang-La Pass, with views of dramatic landscapes and high snowcapped peaks, from here a long descend takes you at Muktinath at 3,800 m.

At holy Muktinath areas for overnight stop, regarded as most sacred spot for both Hindus and Buddhists, the name Muktinath literally means ‘place for Nirvana or Liberation’.

From Muktinath, rest of the journey is much easy on gradual downhill hills with big drop of 1,200m to Kaligandaki river valley, walking on vast Kaligandaki river valley to reach at Jomsom, headquarter town of Mustang region with a small airstrip above Kaligandaki River.

After a refreshing stop another hour of pleasant walk reaches you at Marpha, in one of the most charming villages of all Himalaya regions with whitewashed houses, paved streets and numerous well kept lodges.

Here celebrate with local apple products cider, brandy and juice Marpha area around Kagbeni famous for delicious apple and its product.

From Marpha onward, an enjoyable walk following Kaligandaki River downstream to reach at Tukuche village, beneath Tukuche peak, Dhaulagiri and Mt. Nilgiris with views of Dhaulagiri icefalls.

After Tukuche walk to Larjung village, and then cross a wide river bed, either ways series of temporary plank bridges over numerous channel if the river level is low, or taking a high suspension bridge, after an hour walk reaching into tree line of pines, oaks and rhododendron.

As our route leads away from the river for a while to reach at Kalapani a lovely alpine village, after a short stop here, walk to another lovely village with grand views of Mt. Annapurna I, Nilgiris and Dhaulagiri, a short downhill brings at Lete village for overnight stop.

Walk from Kalapani and Lete onward leads to dramatic changes in vegetation and landscapes from dry, arid desert to pine and conifer forested area, as walk leads between two giant peaks of Dhaulagiri and the Annapurna forming as world's deepest gorge.

The first two hours of trek leads to Ghasa village end of Mustang areas and then another few hours of good walks brings you into warmer areas at Tatopani village a nice village with large hot spring pools by the bank of Kaligandaki River.

After a marvelous time at Tatopani, journey continues on winding trail for an hour, then heading uphill within steep terraced hillsides, dotted with farms and villages.

After the steep section coming to gradual path all the way past dense alpine forest to Chitre, from here an hour climb brings at Ghorepani village with fabulous views Mt. Dhaulagiri range with Annapurna South and Vara-Shikar or Annapurna Fang.

Ghorepani located on a high spot within beautiful forest surrounding, inhabited by Poon / Magar tribal people.

Morning before dawn an hour hike up to Poon-Hill at 3,210m, offers stunning views of sunrise over array of snow peaks with world's three highest mountains Dhaulagiri-Annapurna and Manaslu with Machhapuchare Himal 'Fish Tail' the virgin and unclimbed peaks of whole Himalaya.

After Tirkhedhunga, last day walk of our marvelous adventure heading downhill most of the way past scattered farm villages with views of waterfalls, and then finally reaching at a nice village Bhirethati by Modi River.

From here taking an overland drive and then ending our final day walk of the great adventure, with scenic and exciting drive of few hours to reach at beautiful Pokhara for overnight stop by the serene Lake Phewa.

Pokhara a renowned and top most touristic destination blessed with natural beauty and picturesque scenery of mountains-hills and lakes.

From Pokhara overland drive leads on the same route back to Kathmandu with amazing and wonderful time on Annapurna Circuit & Thorang-La Trekking, on reaching Kathmandu transfer to your respective hotels with free afternoon for individual activities.

Your last day in Nepal, country of Himalayan wonders and as per your international flight time depart for homeward bound or to next respective connecting destinations.

Our staff and guide transfer you to Kathmandu airport after a mesmerizing memory and great time on Annapurna Circuit & Thorang-La Trekking.
