Dhampus peak (6012m) situated in the northeast of the giant Dhaulagiri massif. It is one of the most popular Trekking Peak in Nepal. it is not technical peak climbing but seasonable peak can do by any climber even they don’t have climbing experience but they need to be physically fit.
This adventure peak climbing starts from Jomsom, you can take a flight to Jomsom from Pokhara and after that, you can make a side trip around for adjustment propose or alternatively you can trek from Nayapul to all the way Tukche (near Jomsom) via Ghorepani poon hill area. You can choose to climb Dhampus peak via Nayapul or Beni or you can also choose to trek around Dhaulagiri with Dhampus peak climbing for more adventure and thrill. The summit of Dhampus peak offers the amazing altitude difference between Annapurna and Dhaulagiri.
The extreme adventure provides you breathtaking view of Tukche peak and Dhaulagiri, Annapurna South, Annapurna 1,2,3 & 4, Tilicho Peak, Nilgiri South & North, exploration beautiful hamlets around Kaligandaki. After the great and with marvelous views at the summit you can climb back by the same route to base camp and then trek back to Jomsom with a panoramic flight back to Pokhara and to Kathmandu Depending upon how fast climber can adjust in altitude, it takes about one and the half week to climb Dhampus peak. Normally to climb Dhampus peak October & November during the autumn season and April & May during the spring season are consider as the best seasons but totally dependent on the weather, can do any time of the year.
