1
On arrival at Kathmandu international airport via respective airlines, where you will be received by our office staff and guide with warm welcome then transfer to your hotels in the hub of the city.
After checking into your rooms and getting refreshed join the other groups for briefing on Mera Peak Climb and Trekking, our guide offers you with useful important information regarding trek and your stay in Nepal with us.
Evening includes welcome dinner in a nice and authentic Nepalese restaurant with Folk Culture program of Nepal while having your dinner.

Morning, depart from the hotel for optional tour around Kathmandu at places of great interest, Kathmandu city and its valley steeped with historical and religious monuments temples and monasteries listed as World Heritage Sites.
After an interesting tour afternoon free to relax and preparation for Mera Peak Climb and trek with next early morning flight to Lukla.

Starting early morning transfer to domestic airport for short and scenic flight to Lukla, taking a smaller aircraft (Twin Otter or Dornier) during 30 minutes on air with amazing panorama of Himalayan series of peaks with Mt. Everest, as the plane lands on its unique uphill runways reaching at Tenzing & Hillary airport in Lukla.
From here a slow start with few hours of walks past Lukla town heading away from main trails towards eastern areas of Khumbu as our route leads past farm areas and scattered hamlets to reach at Chuntanga surrounded within lovely alpine woodland of rhododendron-oaks, magnolia, pines and fir tree lines.

At Chutanga rest day around beautiful wilderness of tall rhododendron-magnolia and pines tree forest in the harmony of pristine environment away from mainstream trekking trail.
Here relax and hike to some view points for better views of surrounding beautiful landscapes and mountains.

From Chutanga morning leads to a climb over Kalo Himal ridge at Nau Lekh high rocky range, that separates Khumbu and Hinku valley then heading further east towards Barun and Makalu area.
With strenuous climb reaching high above 4,450 m at Zatrwa Og, continue walk over Zatrwa-La at 4,600 meters, with views across Dudh Kosi River valley with views of Karyolung and Lumding Himal, and then descend to camp at Thuli Kharka a summer pasture area.

Morning walks lead downhill with views of Peak 43 and Kusum Kanguru peaks, then reaching at Hinku valley on the least trekked areas by other visitors and adventurer offers views of Mera Peak South Face walk continues into dense rhododendron and pine trees forest to a grazing area at Mosum Kharka for overnight camping.

Adventure continues towards north east after leaving tree lines and green vegetation, as the walk progress reaching into a wide open valley within grazing land around scattered cattle herders shades at Gondishung 4,350 m near to our overnight stop at Tag-Nag.
Gondishung with more than 200 years old small Gompa, walk continues for an hour to Tag-Nag for overnight stop, a temporary settlement with small huts and shades houses at present with few small lodge and tea house.

A perfect place for rest day and as well for acclimatization before walking towards higher areas towards Mera Peak, this place offers several high hills for best views of surrounding mountains and valley.

After Tagnag having relaxing rest, morning walk leads on moderate trail for few hours and then climb over moraine, damming Charpatti Tal (lake), that leads to a high area lined with rocks and cairns and small glacial lake, from here climb for a while and down downhill walk to Dig Kharka, and over boulder strewn hillside to Khare.

Morning walk leads over Mera glacier, and to icy area for a while then descend to reach at Mera Base Camp after a good walk of few hours reaching at the foot of Mera Peak at base camp where our tents will be set with afternoon free at leisure and preparation for the climb.

From base camp adding one more high camps to make the climb much safe and accessible, as morning walk leads across Mera la to reach Mera High Camp within serene wilderness, after pitching tents at available good ground, afternoon free and preparation for next early morning climb on top Mera Peak, where our guides will be busy checking the area of climb finding best and safe routes fixing ropes where necessary to safe guard from incidental accidents.

Final ascent to our major highlight of the adventure, starting early before dawn, heading towards steady climb and with least technical effort, as our route leads to a straightforward climb, however safety measures should be taken equipped with crampons, ice axe, helmets and positive attitude.
After strenuous climb reaching on top Mera Peak summit offers mind blowing views of Mt. Everest, Mt. Lhotse, Mt. Makalu, Mt. Cho- Oyu and all the way towards Mt. Kanchenjunga in eastern horizon with array of peaks, after a great climb descend back to base camp using the same route after feeling exhausted but feeling great to have done this marvelous adventurous climb on Mera peak.

From Mera Peak base camp return journey leads to pleasant walks without any problem of altitude gain, although the trail leads you with few ups and downs and then back into green surrounding within rich vegetations and tall trees on reaching at Khothay for overnight stop, a small cattle herder camp and shelter.

After a great walk with climb of Mera peaks heading back to Lukla on the same route to reach at Tagnag for overnight stop in this nice lovely spot within mountains and grand scenery of surrounding hills and peaks.

Morning walk continues leading into forest then with a steep climb on hills and continue walk on nice grassy meadow on the gradual path to reach our last camp of this trek at Thuli-Kharka.

Our last day walk of the great adventure, morning starts with a climb to reach a high ridge of Nualekh and Kalo Himal crossing few passes Zatwar-la with steep descends to Chutanga areas and then pleasant trail back to Lukla for last overnight stop in Khumbu and Everest region after an adventurous trek to Mera Peak Climb.

From Lukla an early morning flight to Kathmandu with panorama of mountains views all the way to Kathmandu, at Kathmandu domestic airport our staff transfers you back into your hotel with free afternoon to relax after a great and marvelous time and adventure on Mera Peak Climb.

Today a free day in Kathmandu reserved as extra day in case of flight delay and cancellation in Lukla, due to unfavorable bad weather conditions which can occur sometimes as Himalaya weather can be unpredictable.
If all goes well as per our guideline set itinerary, one can enjoy this day relaxing or with individual extra activities or book for another exciting tour around Kathmandu at places of great interest.

Your last day in Nepal, country of Himalayan wonders and as per your international flight time depart for homeward bound or to next respective connecting destinations.
Our staff and guide transfer you to Kathmandu airport after a mesmerizing memory and great adventure on Mera Peak Climb and trek.
01: When and how can I book for the Mera Peak Climb?
After going through our itinerary as well Terms and Conditions you can book for the trip as per our E-Mail address, then we will inform you balance of advance payment required.
02: How many persons are in the group on Mera Peak Climb?
Depending upon peak and high seasons for the trek and climb, normally minimum of 2-3 persons in the group with maximum 4-10 pax, on special case and request we manage group of more than 10 to 15 or more people in the group.
03: How hard is the trek and climb on Mera Peak?
Well you might know that Nepal is a hilly and mountainous country with lots of ups and down hills to walk with some gradual winding trail, walking at your own normal moderate pace will be all right.
Walking is not hard except coping with the altitude on this trek reaching high above 4,000 to 5,000 m at Mera Peak base camp and onward, as for the climb our guide will make sure with safety measures, the climb grade as F which means Facial Easy taken from French - Swiss Alpine Classification Systems which is used all over the world for alpine style day climb. A straight forward of less technical difficulty climb however full climbing equipment required like ice-axe, crampons and might require main rope for long descend.
A slow and steady walks and climb will reach and fulfill your dreams, and we have flexible itinerary with rest day to acclimatize on route higher areas.
04: How are the communications on route trek and climb?
Not a big problem as most of the lodges and hotels on treks do have ISTD / STD as well satellite and cell phones for long distance calls, cell phone with local SIM do works in most high areas, except when you are in gorge areas in between hills and mountains does not work sometimes.
Won't be a big problem, as communication by cell phone is highly used among trekkers and by locals, just a matter of some days it work on high hills and open wide areas.
05: What happens if Kathmandu-Lukla-Kathmandu flight gets delayed or cancelled?
This is why we have set the programs with extra day in Kathmandu just in case of flight gets delayed or cancelled in Lukla, due to bad unfavorable weather conditions. If flight from Kathmandu to Lukla might get cancelled with try to organize a chopper depending upon conditions if Heli can fly and land (that's to Lukla and back if condition arises). That is after making discussion with fellow trekking members at extra cost, where company will issue a letter for you to claim from your insurance companies.
If bad weather prolong for many days, we will reroute the areas of trekking to other safe destinations, if things gets beyond our control like bad weather and trail conditions.
06: Who will accompany on trek and climb?
Our expert native guide of the areas of trekking will lead and guide the groups, and porters to carry your bigger bags that you won't be using during days walks.
Best Season for Mera Peak Climb:
The best time will be from April to May when wild flowers are in bloom which makes a lively and wonderful picture to capture of rhododendron (national flower of Nepal) with magnolia and other pretty wild flowers.
The day will be mainly clear with some afternoon can get overcast, where temperature morning and night can be cold from minus five to minus ten degree Celsius, depending upon altitude wise and that’s without wind chill factor. Day time will be pleasant of maximum 15 to 20 degree Celsius in the sunlight.
September to early December mainly clear during day with short sunlight due to autumn and fall season, can be freezing cold in the morning and night time as well in the shades away from sun.
Chances of snow during mid October to December, in this case if it is not possible for trek and climb to Mera Peak, our guide and leader might re-route or divert the trek to other safe destinations around Khumbu and Everest region.
