Arranged in the estimated distance of 22km east from Kathmandu valley, Changunarayan is a pagoda-style Hindu Temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu in his incarnation as Narayan and is one of the most visited temples in Nepal. Changu Narayan is the most important religious sanctuary of Kathmandu in terms of original, religious, social and historical point of view. This religious sanctuary gives such a variety of forms of artistic relics of Lord Vishnu which is said to be of the fourth century old. This place is taken into government ownership as the UNESCO world heritage site of Nepal.
Nagarkot Changu Narayan Day Hiking is a short day hiking region from Kathmandu. While hiking you can experience the village in their regular lifestyle which is too traditional and it is very much far from the civilization despite the fact that this place very much close to a city. The primary objective of this hiking is the social experience while the second part is the magnificent pinewood forest foothills as the trail takes the travelers into rhododendron woods and other types of forest.
