Pisang Peak standing at the majestic height of 6091m is located in the north of Manang valley which passes through the famous Annapurna Circuit. Pisang peak is the most popular technical climbing peak in Annapurna region of Nepal. It is situated on the way to the highest pass of the world “throng la pass” and offers well for exploration. This peak climbing is considered as one of the most thrilling peak climbing in Nepal.
The adventure starts at Besi Sahar after about 6 hrs. Drive from Kathmandu. After that, you can follow the same route as Annapurna circuit trails continue to Pisang. To reach base camp from Pisang village, the path passes through sparse wood and pasture to a Kharka, It is the best place for setting up the base camp.
Pisang peak’s high camp is set up at (5,400m) climbing to a shoulder on the South-West Ridge. To reach the summit is quite steep and little difficult. Summit of the peak offers truly splendid views of the Annapurna Himalayan range including Tilicho Peak, Annapurna II and IV, Ghangapurna and the Glacier Dome. Pisang Peak is also known as “sightseeing peak”. After reaching submits you can climb back at the same route. After the summit either you trek back to Kathmandu/Pokhara though same route or adventure continues to Pokhara through the Throng La pass. This adventure can do any time of the year but September to November during the Autumn season and March to May during the spring season are consider as the best seasons because in this month the weather condition and visibility of mountain range are best.
